Labrdogs Canine Kids asked:
I am installing an above ground pool for water therapy for my aging dog with hock issues. I have a pool ladder but thinkign safety for the dogs…would I be able to use the sand under the liner to raise the one side up so it is a foot or two below the rim. pool side is 48 inches. thinking of doing this on the side of the pool that is down 2 feet into the earth where we leveled the yard. so it would cause preasure on both sides. would use mason sand.
a hoist isn't good because if the dogs go in without supervision which I imagine will happen they need a way to get out on their own… have thought of preformed pool steps but cost has me there… used ones are beign sold for nearly new price. have also thought of building an A frame out of wood with a pvc bottom for inside the pool, but that won't last long being in water. platic is too slippery so can't use those plexi-glass sheets. No deck at this time that will come later or next year.

Trevor J asked:
The recommended safety angle of a ladder against a building is to make an angle of 78° with the ground. A 12 meter ladder will be used. How high up on the side of the building will the ladder safely reach? Round to the nearest tenth of a meter. Let x represent the distance up the side of the building that the ladder will safely reach.

HSB asked:
I am building a tree swing. Is their a safe way to harness myself to the tree in case I lose my footing? Also rather than climb the tree to where I need to wrap the rope around a tree limb who has an ingenious way to get the rope around the tree limb without climbing all the way up?

I have some high areas, perhaps 25 ft high. I know that telescoping ladders work, but I also need to carry paint up there and a roller or brush so I want to be safe.
